Rowan Butler - Solicitor

Admitted to the bar in May 2001, Rowan Butler brings to Jones Fee seven year's experience, including five and a half years as a Crown prosecutor in New Zealand and a brief stint at the Serious Fraud Office in London.

He has been counsel in lengthy prosecutions on behalf of the Commerce Commission in relation to breaches of the Fair Trading Act; coroners' inquests in relation to health & safety and prosecutions on behalf of the Ministry of Health in relation to the supply of medicines over the internet. In addition to this regulatory work, Rowan has been prosecuting counsel in numerous trials, defended hearings, depositions and appeals involving all manner of criminal offending including fraud.

At Jones Fee his specific areas of practice include regulatory prosecutions, insurance and statutory liability work.

In his spare time, you’re unlikely to see Rowan lazing around. He is a keen triathlete, who regularly trains and competes in various events.
